Forensic Consulting

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a strong foundation in policy practice and certification from the National Organization of Forensic Social Work, I bring extensive experience in both criminal and civil Connecticut courts. I offer specialized forensic consulting that bridges mental health expertise with the legal system, grounded in principles of justice, ethics, and public welfare.

Forensic consulting bridges justice and generational healing. I bring a trauma-informed, culturally grounded insight into systems that too often overlook the full human behind the file.

This work is about advocating for individuals who’ve often been silenced, criminalized, or misunderstood—especially those navigating complex trauma, psychosis, and the legal system. This is a direct confrontation of systemic shame and suppression.

🧠 What I Offer

My forensic consulting services are tailored to professionals, legal teams, and organizations navigating the complex intersection of mental health and the law. I approach each case with clinical precision, trauma-informed care, and ethical integrity.

Services include (but are not limited to):

  • Case consultation & psychosocial evaluations
Supporting legal teams with comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, trauma histories, and contextual insight into client behavior.

  • Expert witness preparation
Helping attorneys and clients understand clinical records, psychological reports, and relevant diagnoses or mental health considerations in legal contexts.

  • Forensic report writing
Creating clinically informed, ethically sound reports for use in family court, criminal court, or immigration proceedings.

  • Mitigation support
Assisting public defenders or legal aid teams in preparing mitigation narratives based on clinical interviews and social history.

  • Training and workshops
Providing psychoeducational trainings to attorneys, judges, and social service providers on topics such as trauma, intimate partner violence (IPV), substance use, mental illness, and systems-involvement.

⚖️ Ethical & Legal Considerations

I operate within the scope of my clinical license and forensic social work training, ensuring:

  • Informed consent and clarity about my role (consultant vs. treating clinician).

  • Strict adherence to confidentiality laws, HIPAA, and court-mandated disclosure rules.

  • Transparency regarding limits of professional opinions—I do not provide diagnoses outside of clinical treatment or conduct evaluations beyond my scope.

  • A commitment to cultural humility, social justice, and nonpartisan evaluation of each case.
